Accounting software that tells the truth
AfriBizOS started with a simple observation: Nigerian small businesses do not lack ambition, they lack bookkeeping. The black notebook, the shoebox of receipts, the accountant who only sees the books in April — these are not cultural quirks, they are what happens when formal tools are priced and designed for someone else.
We build one product, for one country, done properly: Nigeria. That means the tax engine follows the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 (not a US schedule with the names changed), e-invoicing follows the NRS rollout, bank SMS parsers are written for Nigerian banks, and the naira is the default currency, not an afterthought.
What we believe
- AI proposes. A human approves. The deterministic ledger commits. Software can draft every journal entry; only a person may say yes. That rule is enforced in the ledger engine, not the marketing copy.
- Your books should be legible to you. Every figure is traceable to its source entry, and every screen has a plain-money-words translation.
- Honesty is a feature. Anything not live yet is labelled as such. We would rather tell you what is real than sell you a checkbox.
- No hostage situations. Export everything, anytime, in open formats. Leaving should be as easy as arriving.
How we work
We are a small, senior team based in Lagos. We ship weekly, we answer support ourselves, and every feature is traced to a Nigerian compliance or bookkeeping job before it is written. When a regulation changes — the 2025 tax reform, the July 2026 e-invoicing mandate — the engine changes with it, and the change is documented.
We deliberately do not try to serve five countries at once, run a multi-currency empire, or beat QuickBooks at being QuickBooks. One country, done properly.
Try it: AfriBizOS is invite-only while we test with a small group of businesses and accounting practices. Request an invite.
